Hi! I'm Sarah: self proclaimed foodie & coffee critic, and baker by trade.

Having grown up in small-town Ohio, I never would have guessed that I'd become a desert-dweller. But here we are, cohabitating with the cacti in Tucson, Arizona.
​
What started as a hobby, and a way to stay out of the heat, made me kind of an accidental entrepreneur overnight. I started baking all things sourdough in the summer of 2021, Carbs & Coffee Co. was born, and I never looked back.
​
I felt a need to bring creativity back into my life through baking, and what it brought me was irreplaceable.
​
Completely self-taught, I quickly learned how to laminate pastry. I delighted in filling and forming croissants and danishes every-which-way.
​
I recognized that to me, creativity is a healthy escape. It is a way to cultivate all of my energy into the present moment, with the intention of bringing joy--to myself and to those around me.
​
Carbs & Coffee is about more than sweet treats and caffeine. It's about cultivating your most genuine self--and lifestyle--through experiencing what brings you joy, passion, and gratitude.

So, whether you're picking up your favorite Carbs & Coffee Co. pastry, or reading a blog post, I hope you can sense that purpose--one bite, word, and sip of hot coffee at a time.
